Course Overview:
The Three Days Pre-Post Natal Yoga Workshop & Certificate Course is a comprehensive training program designed for yoga instructors, midwives, doulas, and anyone interested in teaching yoga to pregnant women and new mothers. This workshop provides participants with the knowledge and skills to safely and effectively guide pregnant and postpartum women through a yoga practice.
Day 1 of the workshop covers the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy. Participants will learn about the changes that occur in the body during pregnancy, including the hormonal changes, musculoskeletal changes, and changes in circulation. They will also learn about the potential risks and contraindications of practicing yoga during pregnancy. This foundational knowledge will enable participants to design safe and effective yoga practices for pregnant women.
Day 2 of the workshop focuses on the practice of yoga during pregnancy. Participants will learn about the specific modifications and adjustments needed to accommodate the changing needs of pregnant women, including modifications for each trimester. They will also learn about the benefits of yoga during pregnancy, including improved circulation, reduced stress, and increased overall well-being.
Day 3 of the workshop covers postpartum yoga practice. Participants will learn about the physical and emotional changes that occur during the postpartum period and how to safely and effectively guide new mothers through a yoga practice. They will also learn about the benefits of postpartum yoga, including restoring pelvic floor strength and reducing stress.
Upon completion of the Three Days Pre-Post Natal Yoga Workshop & Certificate Course, participants will have gained the skills and knowledge necessary to guide pregnant and postpartum women through a safe and effective yoga practice. Additionally, Participants will also receive a certificate of completion, which will be useful in career progression especially for Fitness/Wellness professionals, Diet/Nutrition Consultants, Aerobics/Yoga/Zumba Trainers and other relevant job profiles.
